Yes, Brian,
It is probably a rash from the soap.
A dermatologist could diagnose it for sure, and prescribe a steroid cream to clear up the inflammation faster.
You could also try an aloe vera gel or an homeopathic arnica preparation.

: About four days ago my I boke out in a rash. It consists of small, raised red bumps forming in patches
: of about one inch square each. They itch, but not too badly, and the skin is red around the patches.
: The only thing I can think think of that could have caused this is that I started using Ivory liquid
: soap in the shower at about the same time the rash started. I use the same soap on my hands
: every day, but I never get a reaction there. I suppose the skin on my back is simply more sensitive than
: that on my hands.
: Has anyone else had a reaction like this? I stopped using the soap in the shower when I made the connection,
: but how long will it take for the rash to subside? Is there anything I can do to hasten the healing process?
: I have no other symptoms other than the rash itself.
: Thank you!
