I live in the Virgin Islands. I am originally from the states. When I moved here, I found it fascinationg that
the West Indian poeple are terrified of the rain. They run for cover at the least little rain drop. They
say their immune system cannot take the rain. They will become deathly ill if they get wet from the rain.
Is this at all possible or merely some bullshit superstition drilled into them from birth? I can go from being
drenched by the rain and not get sick. What is the deal with these poeple? I would like to know the
medical proof behind their belief.
