I went to my regular doctor on monday 11/6/00 for a pain on my right side which only hurt while coughing
or sneezing. Sometimes the pain was very bad, sometimes mild.
My regular doctor sent me for an ultra sound and while it was being performed, the tech went and got the doctor for the radialogy
and had here do the test with him in the room. The radiolgists asked me why I was there and I said because
my regular doctor said I have sysmptoms of gall bladder etc.
Well, my regular doctor called me the next day at work and said I do have several small gall stones and he said I should schedule an appointment with
a surgeon that he recommended (and a highly regarded one in the area).
I saw the surgeon on thursday 11/9/00 and he looked at the ultra sound and said looks like it is indeed stones.
My delima is for the last few days the pain has gone away completly.
The nurse for the surgoen is supposed to call me tomorrow 11/14/00 with a surgery date.
Should I mention to the nurse that the pain went away? Could it be normal for the pain to come and go? I'm afraid if I don't have the surgery, then I'll have to do the whole doctor thing again if the pain somes back.
I would like to really hear what any ones thoughts are.
Thank you in advance.
