: To anyone who ever made a claim with the VA,
: I went to the VA to file my claim with them and they told me that any illness that I was DIANOSED with, is not a REAL illness of the gulf war syndrome. In fact, the law states that the illness that is not diagnosed is considered part of it through the VA. For example, If you were diagnosed with depression or PTSD, by a DR. outside the VA, IT is just that. It is the GOVT,s way for not taking blame.
: As for me the VA rep told me that claim as many disorders that you got from the war and back it up with proof and file it with a REP that gives a care and HE told me that I should be compensated at least 40 to 75% my base rate for the rest of my life for disability. any questions E mail at KEEPERJMS@aol.com

I'll only address one item. the VA has their own pay chart. at present 50 percent will get you 647.00 monthly. Not 50 percent of your base rate. I wish it was. And one other thing. Retired military people pay there own disability.
