My father came back from the Gulf War in 1991, just as I was graduating high school. It wasn't so bad to hear that he had been diagnosed with Gulf War Syndrome, but it was horrible to hear that no one wanted to believe or help these people. My father, always hard working and giving, now can only do half the things he used to be able to do. His diet is now limited, he has endless doctor's appointments, and it seems like he fought forever to get any kind of disability from the government(thank goodness that is taken care of.) Also, shortly after he returned home, my mother divorced him which didn't help. I am thankful to the Vet Center councelors who helped both my father and me through some tough issues.

We must always remember that these people are still are strong caring family members and it is not their fault that they are sick.

Thank you for listening.
