: : Ive been sick for 10 years and i'm trying to get to the bottom of this. Im tired, joint aches, headaches, just plain sick all over. im filling a claim with the VA. IM TOAST

: Please be advise dealing with the VA is going to require alot of time and persistance. My husband has all the above plus a horrible rash that looks like a burn. He is 34 years old and gets around like a 54 year old man. We have tried private doctors but they don't know how to treat him. Recently, we went to the VA Hospital and were treated like bums. We are going to stand and fight this all the way. Please do the same and let us know how things are going.

Yes, I know what you mean about being treated like bums by the VA. But while filing with the VA does take time it may be the only source of health care available for GW vets. Insurance copies have a tendency to deny claim for outside medical treatment for GWS and medical problems associated with the gulf war. The biggest hurdle to overcome right now is the well grounded claims rule. Congress is attempting to resolve this problem with current legislation. But by all means you should file.
