First of all we know something was done to our Military people and IT IS (in some cases) filtering down to the spouses, mates, pets, etc. Which proves it's contagious. Now we all know the run-a-round VA gives us and Washington is doing NOTHING for us and since we ALL can't sit on the White House steps to plead our cases and MAKE THEM LISTEN, the only thing that (in my opinion) we CAN DO is keep bombarding the VA Hosp. and filing claim after claim after claim and don't stop for anything, no matter how upset they make you. They want you to go away. They don't want to compensate you. I've even heard that some VA Hosp. don't even want to see some Veterans. Don't buy into that, you're a Veteran and they have to see you. They can't turn you away. We can dispute their DENIALS as often as we want. Also after so many denials, you have the right to request your claim be sent to Washington for review. Because every time they say to you "Prove to us your illness is Service Connected" you can tell them "Prove to me it isn't". If this whole thing gets pushed under the rug like they're trying to do, just remember who's going to suffer for it. Two men from my husband's old Unit have already died from this and several families have split up. It just isn't right and they know it. I'm gonna give everyone that number again for Jim Reeves in Virginia. He's one of the people who have to report all complaints to DC. It's 800-497-6261. If you can't get him, talk to anyone that you can. It just breaks my heart every time I read about all the different stories and I just want to do what I can to help but I can't do it alone. It's gonna take all of us. We have to keep pushing them until they help us, not only medically but financially because that's another thing that's been ruined in my family. I'm not just a Veteran's wife, I AM A VETERAN!
