In 91, when my husband came home from the Gulf War, he looked like he was going to have a baby or gained lots of weight. Upon his over 40 physical, he was told that they thought he had a hernia, which after MRI's they found that his bladder was 3-4 times larger than it should of been. After drainage of over 2 liters, surgery was done to fix the problem of the prostate glade that had made a shelf closing the passage. Why no one can tell us, but in the mean time, He has been medically discharged with a 40% rating as he will always have to self cather since he no longer has any bladder muscles. So in 93 his medical retiredment started. In 98, for unknown reasons his left kidney failed, again after opening the passage and several days in the hospital he was reliesed. He will always carry an infection and only goes on anti's when it gets really bad. Slowly he has been developing an anger problem. Things no matter what will set him off. A car that pulls out in front of him, someone beeping their horn at him, a peice of machine that won't work right, a child that starts to cry and won't stop. There have been many times that I didn't know what was going to happen, thought he was going to wreck the car, get out and hurt someone or get hurt himself. There has been many items I have thrown away since he threw them cause they didn't or won't work right. He has always been able to control his anger, but since he had come home it has been getting worse. I tried to talk to him about it, but he says nothing is wrong. I get scared at times and just don't know what to do anymore. I don't wnat to leave him, as we have been married for 28 yrs, but I am scared that one day he might go off on me. It is like walking on eggs as you never know when or if he is going to go off. I am afraid to talk to a dr and just make an appointment for him, only cause I don't know what the outburst will be. Thanks even if you can't help at least you read my post.
