For the last several years I have been having this rash on both arms. I have been told it was "hives" and was tested for ringworm, and the test came back negative.
The rash seems to get worse each year, and never seem to go away. It gets aggravated by heat and sweat. Sometimes I think it gets worse with stress.
I have several areas where the underlying skin is quite pale compared to the tan on my healthy skin.
It typically does not itch much, but when hot and sweaty, I find myself scratching it.
Any clues as to the cause or treatment?
I went to the VA and they gave me several tubes of Triamcinolone Acetonide cream, USP 1%. It has not helped the rash, but sometimes helps the itch.
Thanks for the help.
