In Reply to: Does anyone have a list of all the symptoms which people have with GWS posted by Alan on October 19, 2000 at 04:46:33:
: I think I have it. I know that it affects different people in different ways, but what are the symptoms? I've heard some of them. What testing can they do to confirm that it is GWS? What concrete stuff is there that I can do to ward off doubters...?
: Thank you,
Yes I have a list and they are, beginning with the most severe: Aching Joints, Chronic Fatique, Memory Loss, Severe Anger, Sleep Difficulties, Severe Headaches, Skin Rashes, Concentration Loss, Depression, Muscle Spasms, Nervousness, Diarrhea, Blurred Vision, Anxiety, Breathing Problems, Chest Pain, Dizziness, Nausea, Stomach Pain, Other Vision Problems, Light Sensitivity, Loss of Balance, Hives, Sex Problems, Frequent Urination, Hair Loss, Chemical Sensitivities, Frequent Coughing, Bleeding Gums, Eye Redness, Eye Pain, Excess Tearing.
In the last few years there have been other reports of re-occurring symptoms also such as: Nose Bleeds, Bumps under the skin, Multiple Kidney Stones, Kidney Infections, Wounds that won't heal and feeling like you have a cold all the time. That's about all I can think of with the paperwork I have which has this list.
Not everyone has ALL the same symptoms. It varies with each individual. As far as testing to prove you have GWS? That's where the Veterans are up against a wall right now because DOD says all symptoms CAN be explained. That's why it's so hard to get a claim approved but if you were there (in the Gulf or are a spouse) then you should go to your nearest VA Hosp. and have a GWS exam and GET YOURSELF ON THE NATIONAL REGISTRY. That's very important right now. I can email you some sites and tell you what I know that will help you to understand what you might be dealing with if you want. Just email me at Tndeer1@aol.com and I will help you any way I can. I hope I've helped in some way. God Bless!
