: : My husband - who layed on his death bed for 2 weeks after his first return from the GW for no found reason - has been suffering from major depression and other signs of bi-polar disorder. His last episode which started this past March and is still "in cycle" has almost destroyed our family. I would like to hear from others who may have or are experiencing major depression since returning and any information you have found helpful. Thanks!
: Lisa, you sounded like my wife descibing the symptoms that I have. I have been suffering from depression for many years now and it has really gotten worse these past 8 or 9 months. I have been in and out of work and now we are in financial ruin. I honestly believe this is linked to my service in the gulf. E-mial me at Bigquest@yahoo.com, so that we can compare notes! Joe.
Lisa, Joe, and any others... I have been having some major problems in this area for the past few years. In the beginning, I was more prone to extreme violence than depression, although I have yet to act out on any urges. I recently went to a trusted doctor and friend, who drew blood, put it on slides right there, and then under the mic. The microscope was hooked up to a TV monitor, and in seconds we were looking at my blood. He was quite shocked, and said that my blood was servely poisoned by heavy metals and viral organisms. He didn't know that I was in the Gulf, but knew that I was ex-military. He had a lot to say. If anyone wants any info., or has anything to say about similar problems, I would love to hear from you, at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
