Hi, there....just finished reading the messages on chronic tension headaches. It was kinda depressing. I have always had headaches, but, right now I am in agony. I am relatively young (27). On August 29, I got this REALLY bad headache, and it won't go away. It is so bad, that I am getting to the point that I wish I didn't have to wake up each day, because I am so sick of being in constant pain. I have tried a lot of things. I visit my chiropractor twice a week (I began this this summer, and thought I had found the cure to keeping my headaches under control...until I got this headache!)I have tried professional massage. I have tried different drugs: Lortab, Soma, Hydrocodone, Hydrocodone w/Acetiminophen, Spray & Stretch, Ultrasound, Ultrasound w/ flexerill, muscle stretches, moist heat, sitting in my hot tub, hot showers, even aromatherapy and beaded bracelets to prevent pain. I can get no relief!!! My quality of life is horrible. I can't concentrate on school, can't make myself do homework, don't want to work, and find myself yelling at my kids for nothing. I wouldn't want to be around me. The headache basically starts in the neck area, spreading up into the scalp and down into the shoulder and arm area, and occasional nausea. I don't know what else to do. Have an appointment with a neurologist in 2 weeks, but if I have to live like this for 2 more weeks, I don't know if I will make it. Help, anyone? please email me if you know of ANYTHING that could bring relief: Kimberlysykes@altavista.com
Thanks!
