I'm 23 and have been having heahaches like all of your's for about 13 yrs. Until about 4 or 5 months ago I was told there was really nothing to be done except take medicine once I had the headache, which never helped that much. I also find that my vision and speech suffer when I hve a headache. I am currently taking several difernt medicines. One thing I found is that I could not take a bata blocker (one of the side efects can be depression and it hit me hard) so I am taking a calcium channel blocker so you might want to try that, for me it was much more effective. I have to take two a day but my headaches are rather severe. The other thing that I take in conjunction with that is Depicote (I didn't speel it right) it was orrigoinaly marketed as an anti-drpesant but in recent years it has been found to help reduce the ocurence of migranes. Like you I have also found that Imitrex is a Godsend. I realize how frustrating this is and unfortunatly as my doctor says there is no absolute cure all but you have to keep talking to your doctor, ever if they sem a little put out to find the right combination to help prevent them.
