: Hi Kim - one thing that helps with the pulsing is caffiene - drink some coffee or have a coke - that usually brings dwon the pounding! - Airyn

Kim,

Airyn is right. Caffeine can help with migraines. The prescription drug Fiorcet is a mixture of butalbital, tylenol, and caffeine. BUT - beware. If you are a coffee drinker, or cola drinker, you can get "rebound" headaches when your system is needing a caffeine fix. I take a med called Phrenelin Forte - butalbital without caffeine. Also, I avoid caffeinated beverages, chocolate, etc. I had worse migraines from taking Fiorcet, years ago, because I had actually become addicted to the CAFFEINE in them, and not the narcotic. Use caffeine sparingly....
