Hi Kristen!
I saw your messages about the C2 Nerve Root Depression and was wondering how you are doing, post op? I am curious as to your symptoms and what, if any pain meds helped you. I am sure I have some type of nerve damage in my neck from 3 car wrecks where I didn't seek treatment for the whiplash, and am getting worse by the day. I have run the gamut of treatments besides the usual preventives and abortives for migraines, pain meds and muscle relaxers, trigger point injections and nerve blocks, Botox shots and along with heating pads, hot showers, stretching and exercising the muscles, etc. etc. etc. Nothing works! I get a maximum of about 2 hours relief using hydrocodone and Soma's on a regular, almost to regular, schedule. My husband has to pull me out of bed sometime if I have to potty at night, I can no longer bend over to do housework like loading the dishwasher, or cleaning the toilet without my neck going into spasms and intense pain. I am planning on having the nerves froze in my neck as soon as my Neuro gets the machine. He wants me to go to the Pain Clinic, but I am fighting it tooth and nail, as I am extremely comfortable with my current doctor and don't want to change. But I think after my appointment today, I will be forced to change. I really hate this, as I have gotten 100x worse since the Botox shots a month ago which I had severe and allergic reactions too. So, I am wondering how your surgery was and what the outcome was. Not to mention what your long term prognosis will be. If you would like you may email me directly. Hope your day is painfree!
