Migraines: Zomig / Valerian Root

I have suffered with migraines for the past 10-11 yrs. Have gone thru all the tests and have tried almost every medicine. Am currently attending a Headache Clinic. My doctor just prescribed Zomig to treat my migraine when I get one to try to keep me off the narcotics. I've not tried it yet but would appreciate any feedback on it. Also, in a newsletter I picked up at the Clinic, it suggested alternative ways to treat headaches. It listed Valerian Root. I have done some research on the internet and it sounds too good to be true. Has anyone tried this and if so is it worth it? Thanks.
