my daughter went to the Azores & came down with a cold from there she flew to Paris and really had a bad earache and headache. came back to the states with the earache which developed into full time headaches - this has been since the middle of August now - she has been to the ear doctor no problems-no sinus problems-she has just gone to a neurologist who prescribed some kind of pain pill for headaches & elavil for depression. Her father died 4 weeks ago and she has had problems with this but she is not a complainer so for her to complain this much with a headache is not a good sign. they made an appt. for her to get an MRI but so far have not gotten her in-seems like they don't rush things but she just called me and is in complete misery with the burning headache - it changes from time to time this morning early her neck was hurting - and now she has this burning headache where she can hardly function she is calling doctor's office again to beg for them to get her the MRI which will tell her if it could be something more than just a headache. She works out daily - is 47 years old and not a complainer this is very unusual for her but the headaches are so bad she can't help but complain. could she have caught some sort of a bug while out of the country- has anyone taken elavil for this problem? Has anyone had the MRI's to rule out more serious problems? Can anyone give me some help here? thanks.
