Oh, I can really sympathize. It sounds like you might be having a pretty bad rebound cycle to all of the pain meds. Have you tried any of the preventatives? like anti-depressants or anti-seizure meds. They work well for some people and might be worth trying. A few years ago I tried everything and gave up, and then tried to manage my own chronic, daily migs with things like imitrex and fiorinol and just got into horrible rebound which I am in the midst of getting out of now. It got so severe that I was desperate enough to get back to the neuro and inquire about some new meds. I am now on topamax which is helping somewhat although it takes several weeks and I am in the early stages. I also tried the botox injections, which is making a difference. So there are some things you could be trying that wouldn't be causing the rebound thing. Good luck to you. And don't give up. Fioricet is only a bandaid and just makes things worse. I speak from experience. Hallie
