Hi all,
Well if you read my last post then most of you know that I'm pretty much at my wits end. so far over the past 13 years I've suffered from chronic daily headaches and migraines.
I have tried absolutely every medication known to man at this point and I'm running out of options. Yes I've also done the non medical approach (massage therapy, accupuncture, homeopathy, diet, etc etc...
Last July I was rushed to the hospital on 4th of July morning with the worst pain of my life. Turned out to be lyme diease. To rule out menegitis they did a spinal tap and my pressure turned out to be 300. Way way above normal. They did every test they could think of to find out why it was so high and never did find a cause. Now that i'm well over the lyme diease my doctors and I want to start some more radical treatment options. First of which is to test for the high spinal pressure again.
Since we now know that high pressure can cause headaches _if_ this is found my doctors and I are thinking about a shunt procedure.
I would like to hear from anyone out there that has had this done and the out come. Good or bad. I want as much info as I can get before I consider this operation. Again if this is what is causing my headaches.
Thanks in advance
Dee
