I am new to the board and had to respond to your message. I have had daily headaches for over 2 years now. And when you sit down and go over the symptoms and the pain, it almost sounds like your crazy. My doctor tried all he could. I had a CT scan, an MRI, sent to physical thearpy twice and nothing was working. He sent me to a clinic located in Ann Arbor Michigan. Luckily I live in Michigan so it is not a big deal to travel there but they have patients that come from all over the US and some travel from other countries. The deal strictly with head pain. I have been going for about 6 months now and have improved. I would wake up with head pain everyday. Same area of the head. Sometime it would stay mild and sometime it would turn into a migrain. At the same time, I could feel the pain starting in my neck, working its way up the back of my head to the right side of my head. I really started to think I was crazy. But the clinic is helping me. I take daily medication to control the daily headache. I had gone for about 2 months without any head pain. But the problem is me and my husband want to have another child and I can't do it with the medication. So to try and fix me, they sent me to Physical Thearapy. Then the daily headaches came back. When I went for a checkup at the clinic, the physical therapist there was furious. (Ann Arbor is 4 hours away so the clinics physical thearapist had to send me to a local one) I guess the thearapist that I was sent to was not following the clinics directions and they were upsetting my neck muscles and the headaches came back. So thats my story. I am currently on Pamelor which is an antidepressant, I take a low dose. I take nadolol, which is a blood pressure medication, it does something to the blood vessels in the head, and then I have fioricet and zomig.
