I wonder the same thing... I only have about 10 - 15% hearing in one ear, but can hear fine in the other. Yet its still extremely frustrating to ask ppl to repeat questions or not understand what theyre saying or to be talked to and not know it. I lost my hearing 10 years ago due to a virus that killed the nerve in my ear (so the docs think). I've never worn an aide but am seriously thinking about getting one, as i seem to get more and more frustrated with it every year. But I wonder if it would even make it better? would there be too much distortion between the aide and my okay hearing in the other ear?
btw, I'm only 26
thanks
