: Two months ago I was diagnosed with "Sudden Hearing Loss" in my right ear. It apparently was caused by a virus. The only remarkable thing I remember when I suffered the hearing loss is that I had a flu (not different to any other I got before). Now I'm having a strong flu (6 days by now) and I don't feel very well in my nose, throat and ears. Do I have a serious risk of suffering the same problem in my left ear? Should I consider this a medical emergency and seek medical atention inmeadiatly?

Yes It is time to see the doc with your symptoms. Call up and ask to be seen or go to your local urgent care center if it is after office hours. Sounds like you may have more than just the flu and need to get things checked out. Good Luck
