Today Sudden Hearing Loss is considered a medical emergency and a specialist must be consulted immediately since treatments are only effective within first 48-72 hours (didn't know that until I suffered it and did a little bit of research). How many Primary Physicians know this??? To fail in recognizing this medical emergency and ,as consequence, lose the precious early hour of effective treatment should be considered a case of medical malpractice? I was under the wrong medication (allergies) for one week until it was too late for the real diagnosis. Any thoughts?
