The same thing is happening to my left ear. It sounds like there's a car running up the street. A friend told me it might be caused by Q-Tips, but then both of my ears should have the problem. If you can't sleep because of it, I recomend you turn an appliance on, such as a fan or heater, if you have a computer in your room, leave it on "suspend"- anything to drown out the noise. Sorry I don't have the cure, I would like it too.
