When I was about five years old, I used to lay in bed at night sweating, and terrified on the edge of hysteria, because I could hear the sound of my own beating heart. But I was so young, I did not know that it was my heart beat, instead, I thought it was the sound of approaching footsteps. Night after night, I lay in bed terrified that this thing walking to my bed would finally arrive. I wonder when I finally figured it out.

Yeah, I have tinnitus too, I hate it. I try to ignore it. Do something interesting, it seems to dull out a bit.
