: Wendy, I have the same problem with ear pressure plus head pressure
: please post & let me know it the procedure you're
: having done has helped.
I had an audio test and something called a tympanogram (not sure of the spelling). This test aparantly tests your ear drum pressure. When I had it done, it showed that I may have ETD. Although I had the same test done months ago, which came up normal. The procedure that is supposed to fix the pressure and fullness is called a myrgotamy (I think). It's where they put small incisions in your ear drums to vent the eustacian tube. Kind of like tubes for children. This incision is supposed to stay open for about two weeks. If I have significan relief during those two weeks, they will insert tubes, which stay in for 6 months to 1 year. I am going to have this procedure done on 3/28. I am praying that this ends this nightmare for me. I have exhausted every other option. I will definitely let you know how it turns out. Good luck. Write back. We can use all the support we can get. Ha.
