: In addition to the severe tinnitus that I've been suffering since December, for several weeks now I've been hearing popping noises in both ears. Like soap or shampoo bubbles bursting in my ears. It happens when I swallow, when I move my jaw, and whenever I move my adam's apple. When I drink cold fluids it briefly goes away then returns. Is there anyone out there that has any experience or knowledge of this? Any reply's are appreciated.
I have had the ear popping problem for years. I have just gotten used to it. However, recently the problem has worsened with blockage of the eustachian tube on my left side. The old treatments which worked before on this problem (steroids) are not working anymore. The problem is now becoming somewhat unbearable. I have been to several ENT's sho seem to be perplexed with this problem. The latest guy prescribed a strong decongestant which helps temporarily but the problem is still there and gets really bad when I wake up in the morning. I am trying to find a solution to this problem but it is proving difficult. I believe my prpoblem is sinus related. My approach now will be to pursue the sinus problems and try to resolve them in hopes that the eustachian tube dysfunction which causes the popping will be alleviated. Let me know if you find help. I will post any solutions that I may discover
