I am currently facing the same problem. I've had this off and on for about 10 years now, I've had tubes, lancings, one ear operation to install a cartilage shunt for better conduction - nothing has worked. Since that time I've tried acupuncture, heabal remedies, and the use of nasal irrigation (neti) and none has worked like a silver bullet. I take Allegra-D occassionally and this can sometimes help. Please let me know if you come across anything that really really works!! Your brother with plugged ears - Brian D. --------------------------------------- : I've had a problem with my eustacian tubes closing off and trapping air so that my ears feel plugged often and I can't unplug them(holding nose and blowing, swallowing etc doesn't work). My doctor told me that I have dysfunctional eustacian tube virus, but I can't find any information on it- can anyone help? I've had this for about 5 years now.
