: Just discovered this page, Wow! I'm not alone. Does anyone have experience and advice on devices to help one hear better on the telephone? It is so frustrating. Also, am I alone in not being able to hear on the phone wearing an aid? The phone is supposed to be hearing aid compatable but I can't hear with it. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks I cannot hear on regular phones either. After years of frustration I got a speaker phone. At max level I get most of what is said. apparently it sounds odd hollow or whatever at other end because frquently folks ask me if I am using a speaker phone. Nice though because it is loud plus I can wear the hearing aid . I even (before) went to the phone Co store ans "tried out" phons to see if there was something more compatible. Poor girls kept saying"but its supposed to be" when i was shouting trying to hear. Be aware that not all speakers have adjustable volume. And if possible have them plug it in to be sure it isn't static -y which will really mess up your conversations.
