I have suffered through the sames symptoms since May and have tried going to my regular doctor, an ear-nose-throat specialist, and an allergist all who prescribed similar meds with mimimal or no results. The cause of my particular problem is allergies, and so I came to the conclusion (better late than never) that the best course of action was to boost my suppressed immune system. I have just read about n-acetylcystene being instrumental in removing excess mucus from the body, as well as being a powerful anti-oxidant. In addition to my regular multi-vitamin I also take extra vitamin C, bee propolis (for extra bioflavanoids, also a good immune system booster if you are not allergic to bee products) and garlic (a great immunity booster. I have noticed slight relief, but I am sure that anything substantial will take a little time.
