: I was diagnosed with MVP about 1 1/2 ago. I was experiencing different symptoms probably a result of
: anxiety mostly. I eventually took a beta blocker (zebeta and then atenolol) for about 7-8 months...because
: of episodes of rapid heart beat. I would occassionally have episodes while taking the med but it would be
: before that day's dosage. Anyway, I stopped taking it and I've been doing okay. My concern is this...my
: resting heart rate is normally 88 bpm. Rarely, it goes down to below 80. More often, it goes up to around 100.
: I know that 60-100 is normal, but I'm concerned about when it gets over 100. For example, in church yesterday,
: while I was sitting is was 100 and when I stood up, it was 120. I felt fine. I don't understand why this happens.
: I have totally eliminated caffeine since my diagnosis and I monitor my sugar intake. How concern should I be?

: Also, how does having an "overactive" adrenal gland affect this?

Dear Wanda
how was your MVP found out ? What does it mean for you ? Do you feel anything ? Does your heart skip beats or does it speed up into tachycardia mainly ?
I would be willing to hear more from you. If you feel like it, e-mail me to sigriswil@hotmail.com .

Greetings
Loren
