I have had pvst for many years (20-30) where my pulse jumps to about 150 for anywhere from a few seconds to several hours (once all night). I can't pin down what precipittes it, maybe sudden unusual activity, sometimes just lying in bed. Starts anytime for no apparent reason. Wondering has anyone had similar problem that has been fixed by ablation or has anyone discovered a sure way of stopping an attack. I wonder about defibrulators(?) or self administrered injections. Usually a very very deep exhale cough will kill it for me but only if I can nip it in the bud. The regular use of valium when needed (ativan) sometimes helps; but no guarantee. Like ideas!
