: : Hello, I have Wolffe Parkinson White Syndrome and Supraventricular Tachycardia. I have been taking anti-arrythmic medication and beta blockers for 8 years. They have been very effective, so far. I am trying to get pregnant (not pregnant yet) and worry about the effects of these medications on the fetus. I also worry about going thru labor with my heart condition. I am considering ablation, but would like to hear from any females with similar heart problems that are pregnant or have gone thru labor. Can you please share your stories ? I want to do what is best for the sake of my future child. Thanks so much!!

: Hi,
: I don't have what you have, but I do suffer with tach, palps, pvc's, and a-fib. I had my son 2 years ago. I too was concerned about it, especially the labor. Everything went really well, I never have felt better!! I didn't have ANY problems while pregnant. During the labor, my blood pressure went sky high but they controled it. Have you considered talking to an OB-GYN that deals specifically with high-risk pregnancy? During a consultation they would take your history and evaluate the meds you take and tell you pretty much how things will go. They may be able to switch your meds while your pregnant and possibly do a c-section. It's worth a try!! I'm so glad to have had my son :)
: Good luck to you and God Bless,
: Autumn
