: Just wanted to let everyone know that my husband has been moved down one floor at the hospital which is a great step. They did a catherization and so far the heart shows no rejection. His heart beat is still kind of low so they may have to put in a pacemaker, but after waiting so long for his heart, I can deal with that. He even went for a walk down the halls of the hospital yesterday. He may be able to come home next Friday or Saturday. Keep your fingers crossed and thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. REPLY Sounds marvellous Our U K news says a patient has been fitted with an artificial heart!!! don,t think it was in U K so somehow it seemed more hope for your husband -if too much goes wrong at this stage I suppose the artificial heart op is only in its early stagesof development but it probably makes us all relax more knowing surgery sounds as though it is in good hands Our U K news also said that a man living in U K found himself a surgeon in Ohio by using the internet after being told in Uk that his cancer was inoperable so he flew to Ohio and had his kidney tumour removed and his kidney also so i suppose if the worst came to the worst your husband might find himself an artificial heart op on the internet somewhere I hope this makes sens e it is just to say that hopefully knowing about those 2 rare cases of treatments it might help you enjoy each day more and more because there is such great hope isn,t there Also ofcourse there seem to be reported quite afew successful heart transplants on the internetso there is every reason to believe that all will be well with your husband,s heart transplant --Hoorah I am so pleased fo you both From Fliveya (screen name)
