: I have been told that I may need a transplant.I,m 37 years old and I,m not sure what is going to happen. The docs say with out it I may have 5 to 10 years at the most. But if they cant control my pressure or a few other things,I wont see my 40th birthday.I cant afford another month of medication as my wifes bills and the cost of providing for our children comes first. The Department Of Human Services here in Oklahoma can not help because they say that we dont qualify for help because of the amount of my wifes disability pay from social security for her MS.The meds that she can take would cost almost $3,000.00 per month.DHS seems to think that we should be able to pay all of our bills and medical expenses from her disability pay.We were given the use of the puter that I,m using in hopes that I might be able to get a home based business going, but it does not look too good.I am not asking for a handout and would turn down any offered.I am asking for ideas.Thanks.
REPLY My husband has had coronary by pass surgery about 7 years ago or more It seems beter than a transplant somehow You have been told you mAY need a transplant Well it might be good to try really try to do without a transplant Somewhere on the internet I read about vegetables and fresh foods helping to bring down quantities of fat laid down in arteries which would help lower your blood pressure You just have to eat fresh foods and believeme it is hard work often blending foods which is supposed to be good for you Grinding down peanuts in a grinder and putting htem in cookies is a cost effective way of ensuring magnesium containing foods can be digested and absorbed into your system hope this is of some use
