Hi Lori. Your post caught my eye. I am a 38 y/o female just diagnosed with V-Fib. I was diagnosed with Mitral valve Prolapse and cardiomyopathy about 5 years ago, so this is another terrible blow to me. My doctor has talked of having an ICD implanted, but i am so fearful of it. What is the shock from it like? I ride motorcycles a lot....will it cause me to have an accident. I've heard it can feel like a hard kick to the chest. Have you found any online support/info groups for this? How was the surgery? I, like you, have many questions. Your husband is so young, like I am. It's such a scary thing. Thanks for any info. Good luck.
