I'm a 38 y/o female with MVP, cardiomyopathy, and last week learned I have V-Fib as well. I've had several heart related deaths at young ages in my family and it's very scary. My only option appears to be an ICD. If anyone can tell me anything about this surgery and the results, please do. What is the shock from the ICD like? Was the surgery a 'bad one'?
I can't do anything that I love to do anymore and it's extremely depressing. Are there any support groups online? Thanks to you all in advance.
