: thats just it docs do not feel the stress test is nessasary because of all the other tests being normal and they said my age that nothing warranted having a stress test done and to be honest I do not know if i could physically do a stress test.not sure what to do tired of being scared though
: : : I am a 28 male smoke for the last 6 months or so I have been having bad chest pain and pain in left arm and weakness and alot of stomach pain I have dropped 35 pounds in the last 3 months I would say cause I cannot bring myself to eat seems to make my chest and stomach pain worse when I do.I have been to the ER 2 times in last month and a half both times with server chest pain and pulse at 160.had EKGs done there and blood work nothing showed went to doctor.
: : : He did a ton of blood work said potassium was a little low 3.0 when should be 3.6 I think.everything else came back normal chest xrays etc etc enymes for heart.he sent me to have a echo done it came back normal I am still not convinced its not my heart but he seems to be he said if it was my heart then it was the weirdest case he has ever seen not to show anything on those tests.this is really making me a nervous wreck should I push for more testing or take docs advice and not be worried that its my heart.thanks!
: : Get a stress test, quit smoking. If you worry too much stress can creat your problems. If the medics give you the OK excercise will clear up your stress symptoms. Good Luck, Gus
Having had heart problems for 20 years I must say your problem is still a problem regardess of whether it is heart or whatever. Once 8 docs said my heart was fine and 1 doc said I did have a problem. Outcome was I did and an angieplasty proved him right. After that I have had similar symptoms, once it was acid reflux and once it was a chest muscle/nerve. ER could produce a high pulse, ICU was so bad for me they moved me out. Just being around the white coats do strange things to my system. If the medics say ok I would start an excercise program, that has helped me the most. Remember there are many other docs you can talk with about your problem. Hope this helps, Gus.
