: Just wanted to let everyone know that my husband has been moved down one floor at the hospital which is a great step. They did a catherization and so far the heart shows no rejection. His heart beat is still kind of low so they may have to put in a pacemaker, but after waiting so long for his heart, I can deal with that. He even went for a walk down the halls of the hospital yesterday. He may be able to come home next Friday or Saturday. Keep your fingers crossed and thanks for all your thoughts and prayers.
Hello..My nane is Cheryl. My husband is a recipient for heart transplant. He is 37 and diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy. I was hoping that you would share your experience with us. We both are a little scared and nervous about it. It would be a great thing for us to talk with people that have gone thru it. How long was he on the waiting list? Does he feel that getting the new heart was the right thing to do? Do you feel that your quality of life is much better now thatn before the transplant?
