: Does anyone out there know of a message board or support group for survivors of SCD - especially regarding theh ICD inmplant. I had Ventricular Fibrillation and had to be shocked back to life. It was a complete shock because I have always been healthy - don't drink, don't smoke, etc. I was at the end of an intensive workout when it happened.
: Anybody having experienced this, send me an email?
There is a site out of St Pete Florida valled the Zapper. Lots of good info and very nice folks. I had exactly the same sityuation and had mine AICD for three years prior to my first shock. If you are interested, email me... It is importanmt to know that a shock is not indicative of a life threatening situation. i.e A-fib can cause a shock (multiple) and not be life threatening.
