I was diagnosed with SVT while I was pregnant about one year ago (Dr.'s at the er were able to stop attack with corrated sp? massage). I could not take the CCB's while pregnant so they put me on a mild BB. I came off of those while I nursed and did not get back on them because I did not seem to be having any problems. I had another much stonger attack about one month ago, Adnosine was administered through an IV in order to convert my rythm. Ever since that attack I have been having a constant rhythm problem. My heart takes that large beat (like the one before an SVT) and then misses a lllloooonnnnngggg beat. This happens anywhere from 20 times a minute to 3 times a minute. As you can guess this is very un-nerving. My cardiologist says that irregular rythms are normal and that I should not be concerned.........but I am. I go to a electophysiologists tommorrow in the a.m to discuss having the ablation procedure done.....but it just doesn't seem soon enough......Is there a chance that the severity of the last attack has caused damage..........I thought the arrythmia might be from the CCB's but I stopped taking them for a few days and the problem persisted.
Anybody out there know about this stuff......
