: : : When I went for a run the other day, it seemed that my heart was skipping beats here and there. Maybe I didn't take good pulse but I'm not sure if it was my mistake or not. Is this something I should worry about?
: : It's not normal for your heart to skip so I wouldn't say you're totally in the clear. You may want to ask your doctor. In the mean time try to find out what it could be. I've read about one condition that causes irregular heart beats called long qt syndrome, it often gets triggered during exercise. Website dna.com talks about it. Good luck.
: I have the same problem and have had it for about two years, probably a lot longer, a nurse taking my blood pressure found it. Had an EKG and was advised it is fairly common and not to worry. Two months ago had a thalium stress test and was advised it was not a problem, under the pressure of exercise, it went away. Gave the results of the test to my cardiologist, who is an alternative medicine doctor and he said no problem. There is a kind of skip that is not good, so it would be a good idea to have an EKG.

Thanks, you guys. I appreciate the input. I'll ask my doctor about it for sure. I hope it's nothing like you said Bob.
