One of the reasons that stents are used for heart patients is to help insure the coronary artery or arteries do not close up again. Click on their Heart & Stroke A-Z Guide, found on the left side of their home page. Select the letter "S". Go down to "Stent Procedure", click on this, and you will get a full explanation of stents used for heart patients. Ken
