crystal, i can always feel and "hear" my heart beating, and do not need to count my beats by taking my pulse. in my case it is due to my mitral valve prolapse. i try not to pay attention to it, and make it a point to focus on other things when it's more pronounced; otherwise, i get very anxious, and anxiety will only make it worse. trust your doctor when he/she says not to worry; you obviously have a healthy heart :).
: hello i was wondering if this was normal.....while i am sitting or standing still i can feel my heart beating throughout my body it isnt really a pound its just like i can count my beats without checking my pulse....i went to see a cardiologist and he done a echo and said i had a slightly enlarged heart but told me not to worry just loose weight....does anybody else do this???/ please help ease my mind!!!!!
