I've done so well trying to keep down cholesterol, fats and sodium this week, and then last night I made lasagna with fat free cheeses. Great idea, right? I swelled up and my BP spiked! I had to take a second bp pill, and sit up most of the night. Today I looked at the sodium content of the cheeses, and gave up on lasagna. But I don't even know how much sodium I should allow myself. I have CHF...ejection rate 35-40% and about 1/3 of my heart isn't functioning. My Dr gave me all this useful info, and plenty more about excercise and supplements. But nothing about sodium. Any help out there?
