My good friend was just diagnosed with an atrial septal aneurism. Her symptoms leading to diagnosis were shortness of breath, heart palpitations and fatigue during exacerbations of her symptoms. She is in her late 20s. Does anyone have any info, including websites on this disorder. I am a cardiology and open-heart RN and I have never seen one of these and am wondering what the incidence is. Any info would be helpful as I attempt to support her through this ordeal. Any info on current treatments would be valued as well. Thanks
