I am a 39-year-old male who has had asthma for more than 30 years. This past March I had my first bout with Atrial Fibulation. Yesterday I had my fifth. However, the fourth one was on Sunday 11-12-00 after being treated in the Emergency room at a local hospital for an asthma attack.

I have come to find out that the medicines I need for my asthma can cause A-Fib. To kick in. After speaking to my doctor, regarding this problem, he informed me that I may be a able to get one of these new style pace makers that will automatically kick my heart in to normal rhythm. He also informed me that this device is not yet available in the United States.

Does anyone no anything about this and when it will be available?
