For about the last 15 years I have had occasional
episodes of irregular heart beats. Usually a few
deep breaths would stop it. It most often occurs when I am just about asleep and after some form of strenuous exercise done during the day. However, the other night I was almost asleep when my heart went into a funny, rhythym and I had difficulties intaking my breath. I forced two deep breaths and the rhythm went back to normal. About 4 months ago I did a treadmill test and wore a 24 hour halter and the doctor indicated I was fine. I do not seem to have chest pains. To describe the abnormal rhythm (if you describe a normal heartbeat as da do, da do, da do) mine is da da da da until I take deep breaths and get it under control. Any thoughts anyone out there?
