Hello. I am 30 yrs. old and suffer from migraines. I take imitrex which helps them but the side effects are pins & needles in my chest and heart-burn like feeling. Lately I have had to take ALOT of imitrex for the migraines and now the side effects won't stop. I have a squeezing feeling on the left side of my chest and sometimes its feels itchy like I wish I could scratch it. I have had a recent EKG which came up fine. I have had EKG's, Echo's, & thallium stress tests since I was 18. I've been to the ER once or twice in the past couple years and they say its unidentified chest pain. Some doctors said I had a MVP some said I didn't. All the tests came back ok the last time I had them (last year) but that was BEFORE i had been taking so much imitrex for the migraines. I saw on tv about how an MRI can detect heart troubles better thatn EKGs, Echos, etc. DOES ANYONE HAVE AN OPINION OR HAVE HAD AN MRI ON THE HEART? This pain keeps me up all night and doesn't go away. I started taking Kava Kava thinking its stress related and I need to relax but thats not working. Can ANYONE please give me some advice on what to do? I feel like I'm going crazy! I want to start a family soon but I'm afraid I'll burst something in my heart when it comes to delivery. I'm terrified of that!! The wierd thing is I can't tell if its my heart or maybe even my lung. Its the whole left side under and on the side of my breast. Sometimes I slap my chest lightly to "scratch" what feels like an itchy feeling. I am so tired of feeling like this.
