: Hello everyone

: I have seen messages posted about ablations, which I am considering at this point for heart arrythmia. I have noticed some people have had it more than once, even 4 or 5 times. If it doesn't work the first 2-3 times why would someone even go back for more? I would like any pro's or con's regarding this procedure. I don't know if I should do it! Any advice would be appreciated! Luanne
Hello Luanne, I just saw you comments regarding ablations. This technique is relatively new, and there is much more that has to be learned about the procedure. But the more ablations that are performed the more data will be accumulated. I have had two ablations, one for atrial flutter and the other for fibulation. My last ablation was in August of 99, and I have experienced only a few minor palipitations since that time. I no longer take medication, I was taking 800 mil. of Cordarone every day and this did not keep me in sinus rhythm for very long. So I am a great supporter of this procedure. It is painless, and offers real hope to people with arrhythmia. I hope this helps.
